ABOUT THE CLAP PACK:

I created this sample collection with the goal of helping producers program realistic clapping tracks.

In the folder gang claps, you will find samples taken from two recording sessions:

gang clap A features 4 musicians clapping together.

gang clap B features 7musicians.

All gang claps were recorded with a Brawner VM1 plugged in a API preamp, going to a TRAKKER compressor, then to ProTools. The samples are raw (uneffected), so you can use as much processing as you wish. I recommend processing such as saturation/distortion, limiting, equalizer…

To create a nicely realistic group clap in a chorus or in a beat, import a small selection of gang claps (something like 10/15 samples) in your favorite sampler. Map the samples to different keys, and just play various keys simultaneously along with the beat! For a nice wide effect, pan the samples left or right.

The solo claps and snaps is an additional folder containing various recordings of single claps and snaps. Layer these along some of the gang claps or your favorite snare.
